25 Going On 26

That's right, we are back. We've been MIA from blogging but have finally made time to share what we have been up to the last several months.

First off, I am officially 26! .......That sounds so old when I say it, yikes.....  My birthday was back in October and Nick surprised me with a trip down to Moab, Utah and Arches National Park for my birthday weekend. We stayed in a cute little cabin and spent two days hiking and exploring Arches and also hitting the night on the town in Moab for a birthday dinner. The entire weekend was absolutely gorgeous and the weather was perfect. Here are a bunch of pictures from our Moab adventure! Seriously, if you are considering traveling down to Moab and Arches, the fall time is the best time! Just a F.Y.I....

The Fall Festivities Begin

First off, I just LOVE fall and all that comes with it including the pumpkin spice smells and flavored foods, Hocus Pocus, the leaves changing colors, the decorations, and the festivities. To start off the fall festivities, Nick's family and I went to Cornbelly's at Thanksgiving point for FHE, last Monday. Honestly, if you need something fun to do this October.........Go to Cornbelly's. It is an adorable, fun filled, festive attraction with delicious food, activities, pig races, rides for the little ones, and more. They also have an amazing corn maze every year and this year is depicts the presidential election of President Obama and Governor Romney, which I thought was hilarious!

For most of the time, we just wondered around, taking silly pictures, playing the games provided throughout the place, and sliding down the potato sack slide many times. Also, it was very entertaining watching Nick's niece and two nephews embrace Cornbelly's, run around, and climb over everything. They are sooo sooo soo cute and fun!!! Nick and I went walking around and split off from the group for just a little bit to watch the pig races. We were sad to hear that during then, Nick parents and Sister took the kids through "The Creature" (an inflatable creature of some sort which you can walk through) without us. Supposedly their facial expressions and cries in response to "The Creature" were ones to always be remembered.........still bummed we missed that. But here are photos from the night!

Don't ask questions...........

Since I gained electronic access to this just recently, I thought I would post it and share it. This is our 2nd video from our wedding day and documents the reception in Provo, Utah at a family friend's home back in June! This was filmed and edited by the amazing Davey Orgill with Pointe Digital. Enjoy!

go giants

I have to admit, I am a big baseball fan and specifically of the San Francisco Giants (honestly, they are the only professional team of any sport that I do follow). My 4 older brothers and I were raised Giants fans, thanks to my dad and his family. My dad is from the bay area but grew up in Sacramento, CA (which is only an hour drive away) and almost every year when we would visit family in Sacramento, we would make a special trip to San Fran to see our Giants play. Next summer, my goal is to take Nick out to Sacramento and San Francisco, to visit family and of course, to expose him to world of Giants baseball.

Well, just a couple days ago, the Giants won the National West Division Championship and they are on their way to winning the World Series. So here's a shout out to the GIANTS!

3 MONTHS + State Fair

That's right....it's been THREE months since we were married in the Salt Lake Temple and it is crazy to think about how fast time has flown by. To celebrate our 3 month anniversary, Nick and I went on a date to the Salt Lake County Fair. (I know it's silly to celebrate 3 months, but I couldn't help it. I put Nick up to it as well, ha.) This was Nick's first state fair and my second. We had an absolute blast. The night was full of FREE corndogs, cows, pigs, butter sculptures, funnel cakes, professional divers, sheep, ridiculously large steers, chickens, large pumpkins, prime people watching, chocolate covered frozen bananas with nuts, ferris wheels......we loved it and thought it to be quite the adventure.

This was an entire sculpture made out of BUTTER!!!!

We LOVE funnel cakes!!!

1 week old baby cow

Behind me is a Steer which stands at 5'11 and weighs about 3,000 pounds! Holy smokes!

We were SO fascinated by the HUGE steer that we went back to see him! "He's so big....."

 His head was HUGE!

For the family
